Description

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

418 tools for leading cross-functional work in one course: 6 downloadable tool files, 266 ready-to-use question lists, templates, checklists, procedures and matrices, 115 models and methods, and 31 services and apps shown on screen.

Open a lecture, take the tool, use it with your team this week.

Why cross-functional projects stall

The people on your project report to someone else. Each function has its own goals, and each behaves rationally while pulling in its own direction. You cannot give orders, so the project depends on how clearly you set the goal, how you agree on roles, how you delegate and how you handle the first conflict. Most project leaders were never taught this part.

What changes after this course

You connect the project to the company strategy and to OKR. You describe processes and roles so that nobody guesses who decides. You delegate at the right level and stop both micromanagement and absence. You build a team from people who met last week, diagnose what is wrong before you fix it, and keep remote members in. And when two functions clash, you have a method for prevention, negotiation and mediation.

What is inside: 418 tools, counted file by file

You do not have to take this number on trust. Open any lecture and read its description: every tool inside is listed there by name.

  • 6 downloadable tool files: a commitment ladder, a guiding principles questionnaire, a guide on hiring for culture fit, an illustrated guide to organizational structures, a seven-field template and a strengths questionnaire handout

Who is teaching

I am Mike, the #1 HR instructor on Udemy, with 1,800,000+ course enrollments from 170,000 students, and the author of about 200 books on Amazon. I built the people system at Preply as it became a unicorn and worked at Wargaming, iDeals and Alfa-Bank across 20 years in HR. I hold PHRi, SHRM-CP and HCI sHRBP certifications and represent HRCI in Eastern Europe.

When I worked in television, we had about 30 TV projects, each with its own budget and income plan. They were not filmed all year, so people moved from one project to another, and one leader could run two projects with a three-month overlap. It was a lean and lively structure, and it worked only when roles were clear. Later, at Wargaming, my team and I looked for a sponsor in top management for each of our projects. When we promoted a project, we could say that a respected leader already stood behind it. His authority added to ours.
