Description

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

ISO 9001:2026, the sixth edition, was published in September 2026. If your organization holds an ISO 9001:2015 certificate, you now have a transition to run. This course shows you what changed, what did not change, and what to do about it.

Written from the published standard. Every change in this course was checked against the published 2026 text. That matters, because many articles written before publication describe requirements that are not in the standard. We name those myths and correct them, so that you do not spend your budget on work nobody asked for.

What the course covers

  • How to read the 2026 edition: the structure, the rewritten Annex A, and the new wording for documented information
  • Every verified change in clauses 4 to 10, each with a side-by-side comparison of 2015 and 2026
  • The new subclauses on risks (6.1.2) and opportunities (6.1.3), and the expanded planning of changes (6.3)
  • Quality culture and ethical behaviour in the leadership clause, and what evidence they need
  • The transition rules and timeline set by the accreditation community, and how to confirm them with your certification body
  • A gap analysis method, a document update plan, and how to prepare for the transition audit

One company from start to finish. We follow Meridia Precision Tools, a precision machining company with two certified plants, through its own transition. You see its gap register, its updated quality policy, its new change request form, and its transition audit.

What you get

  • 27 short video lectures with captions, about three hours in total
  • Six section quizzes and a 30-question practice test with explanations
  • One assignment with a worked solution: a gap analysis on eight extracts from a real-looking quality system
  • Four downloads: a 2015 to 2026 change map, a gap analysis checklist, a transition plan template and a terminology card

What this course is not. It is not an introduction to ISO 9001. We assume that you already know the 2015 edition or work in a system built on it. The course does not reproduce the text of the standard. We cite clause numbers and explain each requirement in our own words, so a copy of ISO 9001:2026 is useful next to the lectures.

By the end, you can explain each change to top management, run the gap analysis with your process owners, update only the documents that need it, and show an auditor clear evidence of conformity.

Who this course is for:

  • Quality managers and management representatives who lead the transition to ISO 9001:2026
  • Internal auditors who must audit against the 2026 edition
  • Consultants and lead implementers who support certified clients
  • Process owners and top managers who need to know what the new edition asks of them
  • Certification body auditors who want a structured view of the changes
