This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
A compliance program is tested when a difficult decision must be made, not when another policy is published. Here are 90 tools to make it hold: 72 ready-to-use procedures, templates, matrices and a quality checklist, 8 models and methods, and 10 working files.
Open a lecture, take the working file, fill it in with your company’s data this week.
Why compliance programs fail under pressure
Many compliance functions operate as disconnected files: a charter that does not define authority, a risk register that does not change priorities, policies that are hard to use, training measured only by completion, and dashboards that report activity without supporting a decision. When these parts are not connected, the organisation reacts late. The CCO spends time chasing evidence, clarifying ownership and rebuilding the same route during every incident.
What changes after this course
Decisions have routes, risks have owners, controls have evidence and findings have follow-up. Third parties are reviewed in proportion to their risk. A concern raised through speak-up reaches a planned investigation. Board reporting ends with a clear challenge or request. And the first ninety days in the role run on a visible cadence.
What is inside: 90 tools, counted lecture by lecture
You do not have to take this number on trust. Open any lecture and read its description: every tool inside is listed there by name.
- 20 downloadable resources: the lecture presentations plus 10 working files, one per lesson, from the compliance charter and escalation map to the 90-day CCO roadmap
- 72 ready-to-use tools inside the presentations:
- 57 step-by-step procedures and workflows: compliance mandate design, compliance risk response prioritization, third-party preapproval investigation, investigation planning
- 11 templates and sample documents: compliance charter and escalation map, compliance risk register, third-party due diligence playbook, board compliance dashboard
- 3 scorecards, rubrics and matrices: risk matrix, third-party risk tiering, third-party review depth matrix
- 1 compliance artifact quality gate checklist
- 8 models and methods explained with examples: Three Lines Model, Four Ts of risk treatment, policy hierarchy

Who is teaching
I am Mike, the #1 HR instructor on Udemy, with 1,800,000+ course enrollments from 170,000 students, and the author of about 200 books on Amazon. I built the people system at Preply as it became a unicorn and worked at Wargaming, iDeals and Alfa-Bank across 20 years in HR. I hold PHRi, SHRM-CP and HCI sHRBP certifications and represent HRCI in Eastern Europe. I am also a founder and lead the strategy of my own academy.
My view of compliance comes from working next to it. Alfa-Bank was the most mature risk environment I have worked in: a whole risk management department, a compliance function created later, internal audit and external audit, so all three lines were in place. Every process was documented, and people were required to read and know it, because a mistake there costs real money. At iDeals I saw the other side: during negotiations on one of the largest contracts in the company’s history, the client asked us to prove our IT controls against COBIT and ISO 27001. We had to bring in auditors and improve our procedures for that client, although it would have paid off to do it earlier.
How to use the course
Start with the first lesson and its compliance charter. Then work through the lessons in order: each one produces a working file, and the last lesson connects all ten into a 90-day roadmap. Section and lecture titles show how many tools are inside, and each lecture description lists them by name.
What is included
- 10 lectures across 6 sections, 9 hours
- 20 downloadable resources: lecture presentations and 10 working files
- 90 tools across the lessons
- Lifetime access to all materials
- Active instructor support in the Q&A section
- A Udemy Certificate of Completion
Where to start
Write down who in your company can stop a risky decision today and how the board would learn about it. Then open the first lesson and build the escalation map. Enrol now and start your first lesson today.
