What you'll learn

  • Use 10 downloadable HTML tools, one per lesson, to prepare reusable PeopleSoft HCM task records and practical assignments.
  • Build a role navigation map, Job Data checklist and job action request with dates, action reasons and unresolved questions.
  • Prepare a position request and compare maximum with current headcount without treating available capacity as hiring approval.
  • Complete absence and timesheet checklists, keeping dated balances, hours, exceptions and approval evidence separate.
  • Route pay questions to the relevant PeopleSoft page and local owner, recording the pay period and confirmed cut-off.
  • Build an enrollment and life event runbook that separates dependent records, plan selections, submission and dated summaries.
  • Plan an ePerformance cycle with document deadlines, participant states, feedback evidence and visibility checks.
  • Specify a PS Query report with its population, fields, row meaning and date basis, then prepare checks for the output.
  • Follow documented PeopleSoft task routes in labeled mockups, distinguishing Save, Submit, pending approval and confirmed results.

Description

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence

One missing effective date can leave a routine PeopleSoft request unresolved. Ten practical HTML tools turn a page destination, an open question and the next action into a record you can use.

A familiar menu is little help when the record, period or approval state is unclear. A saved entry can be mistaken for a submitted request, and an old balance can be read as a current answer. Each round of clarification sends the same incomplete question back through HR, payroll or benefits.

The practical change is a clearer handoff: the task has a destination, the dates have a defined purpose, and missing information stays visible. Instead of reconstructing the context in the next conversation, the completed worksheet keeps the request and its outstanding checks together. Local owners still make local decisions; the course files organize the information those decisions require.

Mike brings 20 years of HR experience, including experience at Wargaming, Preply and iDeals, and holds PHRi, SHRM-CP and HCI sHRBP certifications. This PapaHR Academy course applies that HR perspective to functional work with PeopleSoft. These credentials describe the author’s HR background; they do not imply Oracle certification or a PeopleSoft implementation credential.

The route begins with a role navigation map for Fluid homepages, NavBar, WorkCenters and Classic pages. Person and Job Data checks lead into job action requests and position headcount checks. Absence and Time and Labor introduce dated balances, reported hours, exceptions and follow-up. The pay question router connects a question to its page, owner and local timing; benefits and performance files organize event and document checkpoints. The final query request and cloud-readiness checklist brings reporting definitions, access and data questions together.

Each of the 10 lessons has one downloadable, self-contained HTML tool. The Job Data entry checklist, timesheet exception triage sheet and open enrollment runbook are working documents with editable fields, supplied examples and Copy/Print output. Tabs, example states and repeated demonstrations belong to those same 10 tools. They are not additional downloads or separate products.

The system demonstrations are labeled mockups based on public documentation for PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, Image 55. Real screens, permissions and workflow steps may differ. Harbor Point Clinics and its records are fictional examples. No live PeopleSoft environment or production access is supplied. Payroll setup, tax calculations, PeopleTools development and a full cloud migration implementation are outside the scope. This is an independent course, not an official Oracle course; Oracle and PeopleSoft are trademarks of Oracle. No Oracle endorsement or Oracle certification is offered.
