Description

Learn Spanish from the beginning with a clear, structured path through A1-level vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. Build the foundations to introduce yourself, ask everyday questions and take part in simple conversations, with explanations in English and Spanish examples to practise aloud.

I’m Aina, a native Spanish speaker from Mallorca. In this course, I’ll guide you step by step through the basics, helping you understand how Spanish works and put what you learn into practice.

Build Spanish skills you can use

You’ll work on the language needed for familiar situations, including how to:

  • Greet people, introduce yourself and share personal information.

  • Talk about your family, hobbies, home and daily routine.

  • Use everyday vocabulary for food, shopping, clothes and travel.

  • Ask simple questions and understand basic responses.

  • Build sentences using present-tense verbs and essential grammar, including ser and estar.

  • Develop clearer pronunciation and practise listening to spoken Spanish.

Along the way, you’ll explore how Spanish words and sentences fit together, so you can begin creating your own sentences as your vocabulary grows.

Learn, practise and revisit

The course combines short video lessons with examples, practice activities and topic tests. You can pause to repeat a phrase, work through an exercise and revisit an explanation whenever you need to.

Pronunciation lessons help you become familiar with Spanish sounds, while vocabulary and grammar sections build your knowledge progressively. My “Aina’s Corner” lessons also share practical study tips, including speaking aloud, repetition and ways to keep practising between lessons.

For the best experience, take an active part: say the examples aloud, try answering before hearing the explanation, and review topics that need more practice.

Start from zero or refresh the basics

This course is suitable for complete beginners and learners who want to rebuild their foundations in a more organised way. No previous Spanish knowledge is required.

Whether you’re learning for travel, to connect with Spanish-speaking friends or family, or simply because you’ve always wanted to learn, you can work through the lessons at your own pace.

By completing the lessons and practising regularly, you’ll work towards understanding and using basic Spanish in familiar everyday situations, with a foundation for further study.

A note for existing students: This complete course includes the material covered in my Spanish Basics A1 Levels 1–4 courses. If you already own those courses, please check the curriculum before enrolling to avoid buying the same material twice.

Who this course is for:

  • Complete beginners who want a structured introduction to Spanish at A1 level.
  • Learners who have tried Spanish before and want to refresh the basics or fill gaps in their knowledge.
