Description

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

You have a dating app or a dating website, and the hard part is not the product: it is the first users. This course walks through the steps the instructor used on his own dating services, from the sign-up page to the launch platforms.

You start with the sign-up page itself: which links to remove, how many choices to leave on the first screen, and how to route a visitor from a landing page to the right app store. Then comes the writing: naming the problem your reader has instead of listing features, the SPIN structure (Situation, Problem, Implication, Need-payoff), and how to let readers qualify themselves with a few short questions.

The second half covers acquisition: quiz funnels as an entry point for social campaigns, Google Ads on the Play Store and Apple Search Ads on the App Store, partnerships with services whose audience sits next to yours, an invitation-only beta, long-tail search terms, community launch platforms such as Product Hunt and Reddit, and app-store SEO.

Please note: nothing here guarantees a number of users, a ranking or revenue. The course deliberately excludes paid installs, paid or exchanged reviews, incentivised votes and reverse SEO, because those break app-store and platform rules and can get an app removed. Tools, prices and platform features mentioned in the recordings may have changed since; check the current terms before relying on any of them.

Who this course is for:

  • Founders and operators of a dating app or dating website who need their first users
  • Solo makers who have shipped an app and now have to find an audience for it
