My exposure to how managers should use AI began around 2016–2018, when systems like OpenAI and DeepMind demonstrated that AI could outperform humans in bounded tasks—but not in judgment-heavy, ethical, or contextual decisions.

The real inflection point came after 2020, and especially post-2022 with tools like ChatGPT, when AI became widely accessible and leaders saw both productivity gains and risks of hallucination, bias, and automation without accountability.

Organizations learned—often through mistakes—that replacing human judgment created reputational and trust risks.

Research in human–AI collaboration then shifted focus from automation to augmentation, emphasizing that managers must retain final accountability, use AI as structured second opinion, and embed governance around high-stakes decisions.

I continue to learn even Today, when effective leadership with AI means: automate analysis, but preserve human ownership of ethics, empathy, long-term trust, and consequence-bearing decisions

I bring in this course my learnings from this journey and share with you how can you also learn how to use AI rightly as a manager or leader to address the threat of Automation without accountability and leverage the Opportunity of Human judgment + leadership
