The CCAR-P exam gives you 63 questions, 120 minutes and four answers that all sound like good practice.

You turn a business problem into a Claude architecture and choose the pattern on purpose, pick a model and cache what repeats, cut tool scope to what the role needs, design retrieval and monitoring for your data, write evals that catch a regression before your users do, place guardrails and human review where the risk is, and run discovery and handoff with stakeholders. You walk into the exam with a readiness score by domain and a plan, and you keep a working architect’s kit for your own Claude systems.

The heaviest domain, Integration, gets two lessons: protocols, access and tool scope in one, retrieval and observability in the other. Stakeholder communication and developer productivity share a lesson, because both are about getting a working system to the people who fund, run and use it.
