Course content

Requirements

  • Responsibility for a team, a function or how work is organised somewhere
  • No AI background required. Everything starts from what the tools actually do
  • Basic comfort with a spreadsheet for the workforce planning block
  • English at intermediate level or above, since all lessons are in English
  • Willingness to test a claim about the future against a metric

Description

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Most future-of-work content is a list of predictions with no owner, no metric and no first step. You finish it feeling informed and change nothing on Monday.

Why the forecasts keep failing

I have sat through a lot of these talks, and I have given a few I am not proud of. The pattern is always the same: a slide of statistics, a claim that everything is about to change, and no method for telling a durable shift from a cyclical swing from pure hype. Meanwhile the actual change is happening in specific places — a screening step that an agent now handles, a role whose task mix quietly shifted, a team whose KPIs were never updated after 30% of the work moved. Those are the things worth your attention, and they are boring enough that nobody puts them on a keynote slide.

What this course actually covers

Five blocks. First, reading trends: the three classes of signal, the sources worth reading yourself, and the filter that decides whether something enters your plan at all. Second, AI and agents in real workflows — what they do well, how to break a role into tasks and decide what to hand over, and the decisions that must stay with a person. Third, the generation already in your building: what they expect, how hiring, onboarding and feedback need to change, and how to see a resignation coming. Fourth, workforce planning — demand forecasting, norming, optimisation, and the arithmetic that automation changes. Fifth, ten lessons on reskilling, because that is the only mechanism that turns a statistic about changing skills into a plan with a budget.

Who this is for, stated plainly

This is not a general futurology course. It is built from material recorded for people who are responsible for how work is organised and who does it — leaders, operations, transformation and people specialists. If you want speculation about the next twenty years, this is the wrong course. If you own headcount, process design or a reskilling budget and need a defensible position by next quarter, it is the right one.

Who is teaching this

I am Mike Pritula. I built the people system at Preply as it became a unicorn, and I have worked at Wargaming, iDeals and Alfa-Bank. More than 1.6 million students have enrolled in my courses across 185 countries, and over 150,000 specialists have gone through my programmes. I hold PHRi and SHRM-CP certifications and represent HRCI in more than ten countries.

What is included

  • Lifetime access to all 42 lessons

  • Active instructor support in the Q&A section

  • A Udemy Certificate of Completion

  • Working frameworks: the trend filter, task decomposition, gap analysis, the maturity model, the 12-month roadmap

  • Real cases and benchmarks rather than predictions

Where to start

Take one role on your team and list what that person did last week. Mark each task by how often it repeats, how much judgement it needs and what happens if it goes wrong. That list is where the future of work is actually decided. Enrol now and start the first lesson today.

Who this course is for:

  • Leaders deciding what their organisation should automate and what it should not
  • Managers whose teams are already using AI faster than the company has policy for
  • Operations and transformation specialists redesigning how work gets done
  • People and talent professionals rebuilding processes around AI and a new generation
  • Founders planning headcount for a business where task automation changes the arithmetic
  • Learning and development specialists whose reskilling budget needs a business case
  • Anyone tired of future-of-work talks that end without a first step
