Requirements

  • Basic familiarity with any programming language (the running project is a small Python shop app; the Jenkins lecture builds a Maven project — both are fully explained as they are used)
  • A computer with an internet connection; all tools used are free (Git, Docker Desktop, a local Kubernetes such as Docker Desktop’s built-in cluster, Jenkins, Terraform)
  • You do not need a paid cloud account: the Terraform lecture runs the complete real lifecycle on local providers, and the course says plainly what transfers to a real cloud
  • No prior DevOps experience assumed — the course starts from “it works on my machine”

Description

This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.

Build one real delivery pipeline end to end — Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions and Terraform — on a single project, and learn to say the lines interviewers reward.

  – Package any application with a Dockerfile you can write from memory — layers, build cache and port mapping included

  – Run the Git workflow senior engineers actually use: small branches, fast-forwards, merge commits, conflicts resolved by combining intent, and the golden rule of rebase

  – Deploy to Kubernetes from a Deployment + Service YAML you can read line by line — desired state, self-healing, scaling, and fixing an ImagePullBackOff with two commands

  – Write a 24-line declarative Jenkinsfile with gated deploys and a post block that reports honestly, whatever happened

  – Build a GitHub Actions pipeline where every push is tested across a version matrix and only green merges to main deploy — with secrets encrypted, masked, and never in the code

  – Provision infrastructure with Terraform: init, plan, apply, scale, destroy — and treat state as production data, because it holds secrets in clear text

  – Combine all of it in a capstone: one continuous pipeline from commit to production that you watch refuse to ship broken code

  – Answer the DevOps interview questions with the exact sentences — and the worked stories — senior engineers use

Who this course is for:

  • Developers who can write code but have never owned how it ships — and want the full delivery picture on one real project
  • Production-support, SRE and platform engineers who meet these pipelines at work and want the model underneath the YAML
  • Engineers preparing for DevOps / backend / SRE interviews who need worked stories, not definitions
  • Students and career-switchers who want one honest, end-to-end DevOps foundation before specialising
