Description

This is a short course – deliberately so. This is so you will not become bogged down with hundreds of Art Therapy exercises, scores of paintings to analyse and an ever-expanding Q/A.

BUT you do want to learn something; to have your interest piqued, your knowledge added to. so this is what is included:

A few – a very few – Art Therapy exercises:

  • Painting/drawing

  • Music and drawing

  • Sculpting

  • Finger painting

  • Group Mural

You’ll also see some artwork and interpretation and discussion – feel free top add to this in the Q/A.

Interpretations of artwork:

  • Symbols

  • Motifs

  • Brushwork

  • Composition

  • Texture

  • Scale and proportion

  • Symbolic colour use

  • Interaction of figures

  • Realism

  • Abstraction

  • Metaphor

  • Allegory

– and a lot more!

Artists featured:

  • Picasso

  • Dali

  • Bacon

  • De Kooning

As this course is short it is likely that those that enrol WILL watch all the lectures; WILL participate in the Q/A; WILL do the very few Art Therapy exercises. this means that the discussions, almost certainly, will be about a lecture that you have recently watched even though you enrol today and others do not enrol for a few weeks.

This is important as, with Lifetime access, the assumption behind the course is (of course) that you will enjoy the lectures and then, sometime in the future return and catch up on discussions, see what has been added through the Educational Announcements and then go back to your other pursuits.

And so it should be.

This is a course to be done, yes, for interest, gaining knowledge but most of all: ENJOYMENT.
